ഗുണ്ടർ രണ്ടുതവണ വിവാഹിതയായിട്ടുണ്ട്.[8] പിന്നീട് ഗുണ്ടർ തന്റെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഭർത്താവിൽ നിന്നും വിവാഹമോചനം നേടിയിരുന്നു.[9] ഗുണ്ടറും അവളുടെ ഇരട്ട മക്കളും 2005 മുതൽ വടക്കൻ കാലിഫോർണിയയിലാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്.[8] മൂന്നുകുട്ടികളിലൊന്നാകുമായിരുന്ന മൂന്നാമത്തെ കുട്ടി 22 ആഴ്ചക്കാലത്തെ ഗർഭാവസ്ഥയ്ക്കുശേഷം ജനിച്ച് നിമിഷങ്ങൾക്കകം മരിച്ചു.[10]

ആജീവനാന്ത അമിത ഭക്ഷണ ക്രമക്കേടുകളുമായി താൻ നേരിടുന്ന പോരാട്ടങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഗുണ്ടർ പറഞ്ഞു, ശരീരഭാരം കുറയ്ക്കുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരു പുസ്തകം എഴുതുന്നത് താൻ പരിഗണിക്കുന്നതായി അവർ പറയുകയുണ്ടായി.[11]
